At 16 years old, I weighed 295lbs. To start I had no real understanding of how nutrition or training really worked.
What started as simple diet & lifestyle changes turned into a complete overhaul. Over the years, I’ve learned how to manage my nutrition through techniques like mindful eating, intuitive habits, and eventually calorie and macro tracking. Through study, trial and error, and consistency, I’ve found what worked and stuck to it.
When I shifted my focus to building muscle, I approached training with more intention. I tracked my nutrition precisely, focused on performance, and applied proven principles to continue progressing. The basics built the foundation, and over time I refined the details to maximize results.
The process was never clear. I’ve spent years piecing together information, making avoidable mistakes, and figuring things out the hard way.
